The Action Alliance for Sustainable Bananas (ABNB) is committed to sustainable production conditions for people and environment. Together we want to work on sector-wide changes to improve the situation in banana production. Therefore, the ABNB invites all involved stakeholders and others who are interested in the banana sector to the next Open ABNB Meeting:
The sustainable banana – what does it cost us? This is the question we will discuss during the next Open ABNB Meeting
on Tuesday, 30 November 2021, from 10.00 am – 4:30 pm CET.
The global pandemic, climate change and associated costs pose multiple challenges on the banana sector. Simultaneously, there is the aim to improve working and living conditions by introducing living wages. In this upcoming event, we will elaborate on how producers, retailers, politicians, standard setters and civil society tackle these issues and which measures have already been put in place.
We would like to welcome you to the open dialogue! The programme is available here. The event will be held in German with simultaneous interpretation into English and Spanish.
