The Action Alliance for Sustainable Bananas (ABNB) is committed to sustainable production conditions for people and the environment. We would like to achieve this with all stakeholders involved. Therefore the ABNB invites you to the next virtual Open Meeting on 29 September 2020. Together we want to work on sector-wide changes to improve the situation in the banana production.
This year, we are focusing in particular on the impact of climate change on banana production. We are pleased to present the results of a new study commissioned by us from HFFA Research (Dr. Steffen Noleppa) and the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (Dr. Christoph Gornott).
The study will show that there is a strong need for action to counter the effects of climate change in the producing countries. The ABNB is taking up this challenge and would like to discuss a roadmap on how banana production can be made more ecologically sustainable and adapted to climate change. Together we would like to lay groundwork for further action to deal with the effects of climate change in the banana production.
Note: The event will be held in German.
