The Action Alliance for Sustainable Bananas (ABNB) invites you to a presentation and discussion of the study “Climate change and its effects on banana production in Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, and Ecuador” of the HFFA Research GmbH and the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research on
Thursday, 10 December 2020 at 15:00 – 16:30 PM CET.
Water scarcity, rising temperatures as well as extreme events show that climate change has become an inevitable challenge in agricultural production. This is also the case for the banana producing regions, as the modelling in various scenarios clearly proves. Co-authors Dr. Steffen Noleppa (HFFA Research GmbH) and Prof. Dr. Christoph Gornott (Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research) are happy to present their research on the effects of climate changeon the banana sector and their recommendations on mitigation measures. We look forward to having an open discussion on the findings after the presentation.
